STILL

So I breathe,
Inhale...exhale.
Buying my time
Wholesale, retail.

My body is a mine
They keep digging at my soul,
I would give it willingly
Yet they steal my gold.

I must exhaust the pain
I scream at the torment,
My voice gets lost
So I reserve my comments.

Rain pours hard on the glass
I am the cliché looking out the window,
Life goes on on the outside
Indoors lacks hope for tomorrow.

It is an ice cold world
I shiver at the sun,
Left with one shot to fire
But the bullet froze in the gun.

Chitter, chatter
There goes my teeth,
However, there is still air
So I breathe...
